Meet Ms. Chaney!

Hello 5th graders and families!

My name is Ms. Chaney and I am so excited to be a part of the Harvey family! In the photo above, I am in the orange shirt with the other 5th grade teachers. This will be my 7th year teaching, with 4 years experience in Bradenton and 2 years in Nashville, TN! I love teaching with a hands-on approach, making learning tangible, and showing students that learning can be fun, all while still challenging us to grow!

I was raised in Florida and moved to the Bradenton area in 2004. I attended middle school, high school, and even college here in town. I graduated from the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in 2016 with my degree in Elementary Education.

I enjoy spending my time at the beach, relaxing with my mom and sister, and taking care of my two crazy cats, Tucker and Smudge.

I just moved back to the area from Nashville in June 2022 and cannot wait to start teaching in my hometown again. I look forward to meeting our new classroom family! See you soon!
